On a site in Sille, defined by varying topographies and a road cutting through the land, we designed a museum project that integrates with the natural landscape. The two divided parts of the site are connected by a bridge, which simultaneously functions as an exhibition space. In terms of materiality, we prioritized local Sille stone and corten steel, aiming to merge regional identity with a contemporary architectural expression.
The museum unfolds as a journey through narrative and space, guiding visitors step by step along a defined route. While the interior spaces offer diverse spatial experiences, a café with large spans and mountain views provides moments of pause and connection with the landscape. The project proposes a spatial experience that bridges past and present, tradition and modernity through the dialogue of material and form.
Sille’de, farklı topografyaların ve arazinin içinden geçen bir yolun tanımladığı bir alanda, doğal peyzajla bütünleşen bir müze projesi tasarladık. Arazinin ikiye bölünen parçaları, aynı zamanda sergi mekânı işlevi gören bir köprüyle birbirine bağlanıyor. Malzeme seçiminde, bölgesel kimliği çağdaş bir mimari ifade ile buluşturmak amacıyla yerel Sille taşı ve corten çeliğine öncelik verdik.
Müze, ziyaretçileri adım adım belirlenmiş bir güzergâh boyunca yönlendirerek, mekân ve anlatı üzerinden bir yolculuk olarak kurgulandı. İç mekânlar farklı mekânsal deneyimler sunarken, geniş açıklıklara sahip ve dağ manzaralı bir kafe, manzarayla bağ kurmaya ve duraksamaya imkân veriyor. Proje, malzeme ve formun diyaloğu aracılığıyla geçmiş ile bugünü, gelenek ile modernliği birbirine bağlayan bir mekânsal deneyim öneriyor.
